Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including game producers, artists, and programmers, to define game concepts, themes, and objectives.
  • Design and develop game mechanics, rules, and systems that create engaging and enjoyable player experiences.
  • Create and document detailed game design specifications, including level layouts, character attributes, player progression, and game economy.
  • Collaborate with artists and level designers to create visually appealing game environments, characters, and assets.
  • Balance gameplay difficulty, pacing, and progression to ensure a compelling and enjoyable player experience.
  • Prototype and iterate on game mechanics and features, gathering feedback from playtests and making necessary adjustments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or a related field. (Relevant certifications or equivalent experience may be considered)
  • years of professional experience as a Video Game Designer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and industry trends.
  • Proficiency in game design software and tools, such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or others as required.
